Fight Parkinson’s launches 2026 seed grant program to fund research innovation

Fight Parkinson’s is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 round of Seed Funding Grants, aimed at supporting innovative research in Parkinson’s Disease. Fight Parkinson’s invites researchers to apply for seed funding to support projects beginning in 2026.

After a successful inaugural program in 2025, Fight Parkinson’s is pleased to support further research funding in the next year.  

Seed Funding Grants are available for both clinical and basic science research, with each category offering a grant of $30,000. These grants underpin Fight Parkinson’s ongoing commitment to raise funds to support research focused on the prevention, improvement of life, and eventual cure for Parkinson’s Disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS), and Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). 

This is a seed funding program designed to stimulate new ideas, build research capacity, and support both emerging and established researchers. 

Key Details:

  • Grant categories: Clinical Research and Basic Science Research 
  • Funding: $30,000 per category 
  • Eligibility: Open to researchers working on projects starting in 2026 and related to Parkinson’s Disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS), and Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). 
  • Submission deadline: 5:00 PM, Monday 9 March 2026 
  • Submission details: Applications should be submitted as a single PDF to [email protected], addressed to the Fight Parkinson’s Grants Review Committee.

Lead Chief Investigators successful in the 2025 round are not eligible to apply as lead Cis in 2026 but may participate as co-investigators.
