Do you live in Melbourne’s west? Join us at an informative Parkinson’s Community Seminar to be held on Thursday 7 April 2022 at the Seaview Williamstown Events Centre

This ‘plain English’ seminar will provide you with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Parkinson’s, its treatments and the value of social connection.

The engaging seminar program is designed to help people live well with Parkinson’s, with guest speakers sharing information on a range of topics:

  • Victor McConvey, Clinical Nurse Consultant & Fight Parkinson’s health team manager, will provide an insight into Parkinson’s
  • Neurologist Laura Perju-Dumbrava will give an update on Parkinson’s and treatments, including the importance of exercise
  • Local resident Mimi Morgan will share her personal story of diagnosis.

Representatives from local Parkinson’s Support groups, including ParKanDo, Essendon, Melton and Werribee and ParkinSong Williamstown, will also be on hand to welcome new members.

Check-in from 9.30am for a 10am start. The seminar will finish at 12.30pm, with morning tea provided. It is free to attend, but please register your attendance (below) or phone Fight Parkinson’s on 03 8809 0400.

Note: Parking is available onsite or Williamstown station is a 500m walk away.
