Recently Diagnosed Seminar

Online Session via Teams
Session
30 Nov 2023 (Thu) 4:00pm to 5:30pm
This Recently Diagnosed Seminar is two 1 1/2 hour sessions via Teams on Thursday 30 November and Friday 1 December from 4pm to 5.30pm.

A diagnosis of Parkinson’s is life-changing, so it’s only normal to feel overwhelmed by what this means. For many people, questions often come up after leaving the doctor’s office.

That is why Fight Parkinson’s Recently Diagnosed Seminars are so important – and valued by the many people who have attended them. After more than 15 years, they are a staple of our community education program.

Join our Recently Diagnosed online seminar to get your questions answered.

These sessions provide a safe environment in which individuals and their families can better understand diagnosis and have their questions answered by a clinical Parkinson’s Nurse. As well as providing a unique opportunity to learn more about living with Parkinson’s, your questions will be answered and you will join together with others facing comparable changes and challenges.

So you can safely access the information you need, Fight Parkinson’s has adapted its three hour face-to-face seminar into two, one and a half hour online sessions via the Teams platform. It is recommended that you attend both sessions to gain the most out of all the information being presented.

You will be provided with the knowledge and tools to build a foundation for improved confidence, self-management and care, including symptom management strategies, plus information on the many support services available. These free sessions are designed for people who have been diagnosed within the past five years. Family members are also welcome to attend.

This event will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform. How you register and join the event might look a little different to what you’re used to – but it should be quicker and easier!
