Researcher seeks participants for heat survey

A research study investigating heat sensitivity in people with Parkinson’s is seeking Victorian participants who can take part via an online survey.

Heat Sensitivity in People with Parkinson’s Disease is being conducted by Dr Andrew Hunt from Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

The study aims to:

  • increase knowledge and understanding of how people with Parkinson’s experience the heat
  • develop a scale for the assessment of heat sensitivity in people with Parkinson’s.

These findings will help shed light on the experience of heat sensitivity in people with Parkinson’s and provide a tool for clinicians and researchers to assess their heat sensitivity.

The survey is open to all people diagnosed with Parkinson’s and takes around 20 minutes to complete. It can be found here, along with further information about the project.
