Sir Zelman Cowen Award
Pam is recognised for her outstanding voluntary service and advocacy for the Parkinson’s community, particularly in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Since 2016, her generosity, creativity, and determination have driven impactful initiatives, including leading the 2017 Christmas Appeal, advocating at a Fight Parkinson’s influencers’ breakfast, and launching the ParKanDo Peer Support Group in 2020. Pam’s work fosters connection, empowerment, and better services for people with Parkinson’s.
Mike Jobling
Harold Waldron Carer’s Award
Mike is recognised for his unwavering support of his wife Heather since her diagnosis in 2006. Together, they have championed Parkinson’s awareness and services, most notably helping establish a ParkinSong group in Williamstown, which evolved into an evidence-based therapeutic program improving voice and communication. A constant source of encouragement, Mike’s dedication has enabled Heather to lead a rich and active life.
