Mildura Peer Support Group’s community seminar will provide an opportunity to gain better understanding of caring for a person living with Parkinson’s and the value of social connection.
This seminar program is designed to help people live well with Parkinson’s, with guest speakers sharing information on a range of topics:
- Neurologist Dr Richard Peppard will provide an insight into a Parkinson’s diagnosis and treatments.
- Local GP Dr Paul Eade will cover day-to-day living with Parkinson’s and what support you can access from your General Practitioner.
- Occupational therapist Ms Belinda Dixon will explore how to live well with Parkinson’s and stay independent.
- Fight Parkinson’s Health Team Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant Victor McConvey will address frequently asked questions and answer questions during the session.
A member of the Parkinson’s community will also talk about their experiences of living with Parkinson’s.
