Annual Report 2024–2025

Launching the Fight Parkinson’s 2024–25 Annual Report

We’re proud to share the 2024–25 Annual Report, highlighting a year of growth, connection and meaningful progress towards improving life for people living with Parkinson’s, PSP, MSA and CBS.

This year, we expanded our advocacy efforts, strengthened our research focus and deepened partnerships across Australia and globally — all powered by the insights and determination of our community.

Collaboration and innovation

In FY2025, we strengthened existing relationships and built new ones, recognising that collaboration is essential to achieving change.

Key highlights include:

  • National Parkinson’s Action Plan: Through the National Parkinson’s Alliance, national community consultation began to shape this federally funded initiative. Your insights will guide the next stage of development.
  • Your Care, Your Choice: Our new education program, funded by the NDIS, supports people navigating Australia’s complex health, disability and aged care systems.
  • Vital partnerships: We continued advocacy with Neurological Alliance Australia, expanded research collaborations with The Florey, and secured Victorian Government funding to continue our free health information line.
  • Global connections: We partnered with the Davis Phinney Foundation on an Australian edition of Every Victory Counts and contributed to planning for the 2026 World Parkinson Congress.

Driving Research and Progress

This year brought significant advances in research and care innovation:

  • We supported a successful MRFF grant to bring the world-leading ParkinsonNet model of care to Australia, with a pilot beginning in FY2026.
  • We made a public call for a ban on paraquat based on international evidence and community safety.
  • We launched our inaugural Seed Research Grant Program, funding two promising projects with potential for real community impact.
