Volunteers needed for A Walk in the Park!

Fight Parkinson’s annual fundraising event, A Walk in the Park is back this year on Sunday 26 March 2023. This year we are celebrating the 12th anniversary of A Walk in the Park, proudly supporting, celebrating, and acknowledging those who fight Parkinson’s each and every day.

A Walk in the Park is a leisurely, non-competitive walk based in Federation Square, with options to walk a 4km or 2km route along the Yarra River. This event attracts over 2,500 supporters and is such a memorable day that couldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers.

There are a number of volunteer roles available including:

  • Registration: Greeting and checking participants in on arrival and handing out race packs (8.30am – 11.00am)
  • Merchandise: Selling Fight Parkinson’s merchandise, using EFTPOS machines or cash (7:45am – 1:00pm)
  • Course Marshal: Ensuring participants safety and encouraging them around the course (9:30am – 12:30pm)
  • Start Line: Ensuring all patrons are organised and marshalled when required (9:30am – 10:30am)
  • Finish Line: Celebrating their achievement while directing participants to the finish line (11:00am – 1:00pm).

If you would like to register to volunteer, please accomplish this form.
