  Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life. It is quite common, many people are affected and if you have recently been diagnosed you are not alone, Fight Parkinson’s is here to support you.

  Although classified as a movement disorder, it can affect people in different ways. Sometimes the emotional changes can be more troublesome than the motor changes, and can have a bigger impact on the day-to-day life of someone living with Parkinson’s.

  It is important for people living with Parkinson’s to be proactive in the management of their condition. However, they do not have to face this challenge alone.

Ask the Expert: Hand and Upper Limb Management

Online Session via Zoom (map)

Wed 7th Sep 2022, 5:30pm to 6:30pm (1 hour)

In this Ask the Expert session, we will discuss common symptoms affecting arm and hand activity and explore the latest research in hand and upper limb management for people with Parkinson’s.

Dr Libby Proud, Physiotherapist, Researcher and Educator will join us for an Ask the Expert session on Wednesday 7th September to discuss developments in this field, including insights into her own research into upper limb function and hand dexterity.

We will also cover some common upper limb challenges that Parkinson’s can pose to everyday activities and ways to overcome them.
