Are you keen to learn more about Parkinson’s, while meeting others living with the condition?Join us at an informative community seminar on Thursday 28 April 2022 at Phoenix Park Community Centre, Malvern East.

Fight Parkinson’s community seminars provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of Parkinson’s, its treatments and the value of social connection.

The engaging seminar program is designed to help people live well with Parkinson’s, with guest speakers sharing information on a range of topics:

  • Victor McConvey, Clinical Nurse Consultant & Fight Parkinson’s health team manager, will provide an insight into Parkinson’s
  • David Finkelstein, head of the Parkinson’s Disease Laboratory at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, will provide an overview of his research and emerging treatments.

A member of the Parkinson’s community will also talk about their experiences of living with Parkinson’s, while representatives from Parkinson’s Support groups will also be attending.

This location will be convenient for people living in the cities of Stonnington, Boroondara or Glen Eira and surrounds.

There are two car parks that service the Phoenix Park Community Centre on Rob Roy Road. On-street parking is also available on Rob Roy Road and Ivanhoe Grove. 

Check-in from 9.30am for a 10am start. The seminar will finish at 12.30pm, with morning tea provided. It is free to attend, but please register your attendance (below) or phone Fight Parkinson’s on 03 8809 0400.
