Online session via Zoom (map)
Fri 17th Sep 2021, 11:00am to 12:00pm (1 hour)
Join these sessions on selected Fridays as we come together virtually to experience the joy of singing.
As face-to-face group singing remains restricted due to the risk of COVID-19, Fight Parkinson’s remains committed to providing an outlet for people to come together to sing from the safety of their own homes.
After a successful trial last year, we now invite all peer group participants and the wider Parkinson’s community to join us for Open Singing sessions.
The emotional benefits of singing are wide-ranging and can include:
- improved confidence
- reduced anxiety
- increased feelings of well-being
- reduced feelings of social isolation
Join our Music Therapist on selected Fridays at 11:00am to midday for a one hour, open singing session on the Zoom platform.
Singing can be an excellent form of exercise, providing a work-out for your voice and lungs and releasing endorphins to make you feel energised and uplifted.
And the beauty of online singing is that you can sing out loud to your heart’s content as the only person you will hear singing (apart from our music therapist) is you!
So give it a try now. These sessions are free to attend, but please register your attendance below so we can send you the link to join us.
